About Richard Lyon
      Our tour director is a landscape architect from New Zealand who relocated to the U.S. in 1986. He has fond memories of his homeland and enjoys sharing its  pleasures with fellow gardeners. His many contacts back in New Zealand  and his knowledge of the country’s history and culture allowed him to design a one-of-a-kind itinerary. Since 1990 he has led a  group tour every year. Out of this experience a truly wonderful travel experience has evolved.

Special itineraries
      Richard also creates custom itineraries for special interest groups of up to 20 participants. New Zealand tours provide many benefits to institutions. They offer members a unique travel experience. They are an excellent way of rewarding hard working staff and  tours provide an opportunity to cultivate donors.
